The problem Cric-Wizard solves

Most of us might have been through circumstances where there might be an interesting cricket match going on but unfortunately we might be having something to study or another important work to be done which requires our focussed
attention. Even if we consider taking shifts between them, there are still chances of missing out on some of the most exhilarating events of the match such as when a 6 has been scored or if a wicket has been lost. Oh! how we wish if we were promptly informed when such events occur. Do not worry any more as Cric-Wizard is here to help you out. Cric-Wizard is an IoT system consisting of an Arduino Uno, a Bolt WiFi module and an LCD. Being IoT-based, it can be effortlessly set up wherever the user wishes to. It uses some facile image-recognition techniques to identify if any important events has occured in the live match and notifies the user through a buzzer. The LCD then displays the event that has occured. This enables the user to save valuable time and focus on the work at hand without getting distracted, and also enjoy the match to its fullest. Though currently configured for cricket matches, it can easily be re-configured to be used for a wide variety of other sports matches too.

Challenges we ran into

Due to the lack of hardware components at hand, we had to rely on an online hardware simulator for the Arduino and its operation. So we couldn't connnect both the Bolt module (which we had in real-life) and the Arduino together and had to do work on them separately. But in fact we were able to demonstrate the actual serial communication taking place between the devices with the help of the serial monitor, which in effect is the real process that we had intended.
