The Problems :
1)Streetlights staying on when not required.
2)Huge Power wastage.
3)About 3.5 crores streetlights across India consuming about 24.3Crores RS/day of electricity.
- Slow maintenance due to lack of proper information relay system.
How It resolves the problem :
1)Streetlights switched off when no one is near.
2)Saves Power by turning off lights when surrounding light is sufficient.
3)Cost effective as it reduces power consumption.
- Maintenance system for authorities with email notification in case of faults.
Challenges we ran into
1)Difficulty in finding supported hardware for prototype.
2)Problems in integrating ESP-32 module and led lights.
3)Training the ML model for rainy conditions.
4)Backend integration with IOT devices.
