The problem NoteSync solves

The application digitalizes on-paper notes and makes it easier to manage notes. Images are converted to text using OCR. Text-to-speech helps in the studying process by reading out notes, thus making it easy to hear and learn. Wiki links functionality provides a one-stop access to Wikipedia pages for entities in the documents. Thus, both teachers and students can use this to digitalize, sync and share notes, thus enhancing the learning experience.

Challenges we ran into

Sifting through the wide range of available APIs, including Google Cloud APIs for Machine Learning was a tough challenge, since we were new to cloud API concept.
