The problem Legit-Polls solves

Nowadays, it is a common sight of people in power turning a blind eye to the voice of the public on important matters concerning them. Even in democratic nations, there are numerous instances of autocracy, tyranny and corruption by authorities. Other than elections, there aren't any other comprehensive mechanisms to know the public sentiments. Even though there are online petitions and polls, they are truly unreliable as they are vulnerable to disruption or tampering and the authorities too would reject them due to this reason. Legit-Polls provides a decentralised platform for this purpose, ensuring legitimacy, non-tamperability of the results and immutability. A user can conveniently create a new poll on their own on any matter concerning them and open it to voting for the public and they can express their views regarding the same .This will compell the authorities to make rightful people-friendly decisions or risk embarassment and possible loss of power.

Challenges we ran into

None of were actually specialized front-end developers so we a hard time using React, Web3 and integrating the frontend and the smart contracts. We were trying out IPFS for the first time and faced some difficulty properly incorporating it into our project.
