Rajat Verma

I am a software developer who is driven by the passion to create potential solutions to existing real-life problems. I love to contribute to open source and believe in building with collaboration. I am skilled in Reactjs, NodeJS, and other related web technologies. I like to read and write about JavaScript.
I have contributed code in Fossasia, creative-commons, Zulip, CircuitVerse, and many other open-source organizations. I have also mentored and participated in many open-source programs like GSSoC'20, Codeheat, SCI'20, KWoC, NWoC, and JMoC.
I love to participate in hackathons as I believe it is one of the best ways of enhancing development skills. My team won the Smart India Hackathon which is a nationwide hackathon conducted by the government of India. In this hackathon, we created a web-app called Awsar which is a national web portal for jobs that would make the government job recruitment process easier and much more accessible to all.
I like to give back to the community by sharing my knowledge with other developers. During Hacktoberfest 2019, I made a website and a repository, to promote open source contributions across the college campus. The repository earned more than 300 stars and 800 forks. It helped students to learn the basics of Git, GitHub, and open source. Apart from the above-mentioned projects I have also worked on many side projects like CodeINN, CodeInDark, etc. I also write blogs related to web development on medium.

    Uneako is an amalgamation of “Unique” and “Eco”, meaning that we provide eco-friendly and sustainable products in a never seen before avatar.
    I worked at Uneako, as a Web Developer Intern under the technical team of Uneako with two other Interns(also colleagues), where we had the task to add e-commerce functionalities to the existing website of Uneako Private Limited.

    Brucira is a design agency shaping ideas into products.
    I worked on the product Ruttl which is a tool to collect visual feedback, collaborate, and manage ideas on any website and graphics. I contributed to the product with my knowledge of React and Redux. During my internship period I worked on the following:
    ● Added new user interfaces and worked on improving the user experience of the product.
    ● Added features like page versioning, draggable comments to Ruttl.
    ● Fixed bugs and suggested improvements.
    ● Tested the application for bugs and fixes on a regular basis.

    I worked as a frontend development Intern for the organization for a span of three months. During this period, I worked on the product "GSYAY". I worked on the following:
    ● The user interfaces of different pages of the project.
    ● Integrated the backend APIs with the frontend application.
    ● Tested the application for any errors and bugs.
