The problem xCompute Protocol solves
Our protocol selects the fastest and gas efficient blockchain for your computation using Connext – Cross-chain Bridge. We keep high computation on-chain by finding the right chain to save the gas fee.
Trusted & widely accepted blockchains like Ethereum have lower computation power & higher gas fees. On the other hand, new chains like Plonk are highly efficient but have yet to build that trust with users. We wanted to merge the best of both advantages: Trust of Ethereum + high computation power.
Challenges I ran into
The idea is a bit unique and I wanted to optimize the transaction cost. The main challenge was to deploy a smart contract from bytecode and call its function to get computational data in another chain and pass its data to the destination smart contract.
