The problem 7thSense solves
7th Sense helps in early disease detection using thermal imaging and AI. It can be used for:
✅ Preventing Disease Spread – Detects potential viral infections in airports, hospitals, banks, and public places, helping control outbreaks.
✅ Early Diagnosis of Health Issues – Identifies heart attacks, diabetes, and cancers through unique thermal patterns, enabling faster treatment.
✅ Fast & Contactless Screening – Provides a quick, non-invasive way to check health without physical contact, making public spaces safer.
A smarter way to detect diseases before they become critical!
Challenges I ran into
- Unavailability of a Thermal Camera
Since we didn’t have access to a real thermal camera, we had to rely on existing datasets of thermal images.
We overcame this by collecting real-world thermal images from online sources and medical datasets to train our AI model.
- Connecting Large Excel Datasets to Python
Handling large datasets in Excel and integrating them with our AI model was a challenge.
We solved this by using Pandas for efficient data processing and OpenPyXL for smooth Excel integration with Python.
