Current rollup-as-a-service providers are fully centralised. If they misbehave (by censoring transactions, extracting MEV, or simply interrupting service), there is no recourse for users besides going to court.
With our smart contract approach, providers are paid for service provided, and owners (this could be a DAO) remain in control.
It's almost as if we could replace paper contracts with smart contracts!
A lot. Devops is hell and there was a lot to be figured out about properly configuring an op-stack deployment on an existing rollup. We got into some troubles trying to deploy on some blockchains for reasons we didn't have time to investigate.
