The problem Pay The Way solves

As a small business owner last year I payed 6500€ in bank fees alone. PayTheWay is a declaration of intentions, we provide a payment gateway with the minimum transaction fee possible in order to keep the project stable and growing.
Our platform solves the problem of abusive bank fees on every transaction received in small day to day payments.
As a side benefit, by giving small business owners and freelancers a fair payment gateway system, we hope to help stablish crypto as a trustworthy, reliable, safe and massive payment method.

Challenges we ran into

Primarily tech issues in that there was no experienced dev in the team and we had an intro level dev to work as a full-stack engineer. We initially tried to copy Safe demo ui but with programming language differences and other issues we could not make it work. Then at one point a minimal level of front end mock-up, disconnected from smart contracts, was ready to generate a QR code for a crypto transaction on localhost. But after commiting to github it stopped showing the QR code generator and the dev did not think this could be fixed in time, changing the strategy from showing some tech demo to having the ideation founder express her passion via video and through judge pitching.

Also everyone else in the team but the engineer are attending the hackathon for the first time so the team needed to get used to the logistics, understand the difference between business presentation slides versus hackathon presentation slides, for an example.
