The problem MomSphere solves

Pregnant women often have many questions and concerns about their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. With MomSphere, we wish to provide access to reliable information on topics such as prenatal care, nutrition, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Pregnancy can be an emotional journey, and having a supportive community of other expectant mothers can be invaluable. Momsphere will provide a platform for pregnant women to connect with each other, share experiences, ask questions, and offer support and encouragement. Some pregnant women may have difficulty scheduling appointments with healthcare providers or may have questions between appointments. Momsphere can provide a way for pregnant women to communicate with healthcare professionals, ask questions, and receive guidance and support remotely. Particularly in areas with limited access to healthcare services or during times when in-person visits are challenging (such as during a pandemic), MomSphere will provide a convenient way for pregnant women to access support and information remotely. Pregnancy can be a stressful time, and some women may experience anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges during pregnancy or postpartum. Our service will provide resources and support for mental health and well-being, such as meditation exercises, coping strategies, and access to mental health professionals.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Getting pregnant women to use and engage with your app can be challenging. We have considered factors such as the app's ease of use, marketing strategy, and user incentives such as online engagement techniques to encourage adoption and retention.
  2. Maternity care involves sensitive health information, so ensuring the privacy and security of user data is crucial. We have built an app that will maintain the anonimity of users amongst the public community.
  3. Integration with Healthcare Systems: Integrating the app with existing healthcare systems, such as electronic health records or hospital information systems, can be complex.
  4. Depending on your location and the scope of your project, we need to comply with various regulatory requirements related to healthcare apps. This includes regulations governing medical devices, data privacy laws, and healthcare industry standards.
  5. As a college student, we have limited resources to develop this project. Therefore, we have put our skills to their utmost use efficiently.
