Challenges we ran into
- While creating the chatbot for hindi, the major issue that we faced was the lack of data available. We had to manually curate a small dataset to develop the proof of concept, but if we want such services to be available to the masses, we will definitely have to do more work in the Indic Languages Processing.
- To improve this chatbot, we will obviously require more data in local languages. Also, the accuracy of data is very important because healthcare is a very sensitive issue. We used iNLTK to handle Indic languages in this project, but we definitely need more tools and resources to work with these languages and make an impact on the local population.
- We faced difficulty in implementing Calender API to show the upcoming appointments but we wish to implement in the near future.
