The problem Med-Chian solves
PROBLEM
Hospitals, health institutions, clinical labs, and governments are not optimizing, getting well prepared, replenishing inventory of medical equipment, medicines, and staff, and/or finding the right resources at the right time and price.
CURRENT SITUATION
- No useful smart insights: Currently, the market lacks platforms to provide valuable smart insights for health organizations to make the right decisions
2.No medical specific dashboards focused on supply chain: While there might be some dashboards that collect data from different sources, we haven't’ seen something that gives a holistic view on the current situation, future potential state, and how to deal with it.
3.No useful optimization tools: Medical institution employees need to do the manual work by finding the best solutions for their supply chain or stick to their existing dealers while potentially missing out on extremely beneficial new relationships and huge cost savings
- No “active” alerts for shortages or disruptions: Currently, unless notified by a supplier, learning from the news or self-search, there exist few quality platforms out there that provide alerts based on the most recent events and changes
SOLUTION
Med-Chain: A Machine learning-powered platform that will provide the best supply chain solutions for medical organizations
FEATURES OF MED-CHAIN
- A.I. powered insights: Used machine learning to generate useful, meaningful, and insightful data that allows users to make the right decision when it’s needed most - and all based on aggregated, smart data.
- Enhanced interactive dashboard: Everything in one place. We combined different pillars of data, created new smart data, simplified everything, and visualized it in an extremely user-friendly way.
- Time & cost saving tool: Showing all suppliers and manufacturers around the world on the map that produces the desired product with average costs and shipping time. We provide the user with all resources all in 1 place.
Challenges we ran into
- Availability and consistency of good quality data of suppliers across the globe
- Getting better at providing better predictions and insights and recommendations
These two were the most highly rated roadblocks that our team run into and other than that the Market Validation
That the medical organization really need this.
We in the short amount of time span tried to get in touch with medical professionals to get their feedback on this idea and make it more insightful for them and the insights were :
- The current Supply chain is handled by 2-3 inventory staff which mostly are on the backlog on the supplies and in these COVID-19 times, the channeling was much bigger than that.
- During COVID-19 due to the travel restrictions and the various country not able to transport the supplies the inventory staff have to research almost 1 whole week before getting some lead on suppliers which will deliver them at the price ( they were able to pay ) and the time short time period notices.
- So with conversations with a couple of professionals we were able to develop Med-Chain with features that will make the hospital time from 1 week to 10 minutes and with more insightful insights on the current Disease.
