The problem LearnNet solves

LearnNet solves several key problems in the digital education space:

Empowering Instructors: It allows instructors to have full control over their courses, including pricing and content, without relying on third-party platforms that may impose restrictions or fees. This empowers instructors to freely share their knowledge and reach a wider audience.

Affordability: By operating on a decentralized network and utilizing cryptocurrencies for transactions, LearnNet makes education more affordable. Users can bypass traditional payment system fees, making courses accessible to a broader range of learners.

Authenticity and Verification: The use of blockchain technology ensures the authenticity and easy verification of course completion certificates. This enhances trust in the educational credentials issued through LearnNet, reducing the risk of fraud or misrepresentation.

Engagement and Participation: The implementation of a token economy incentivizes engagement and contributions from both instructors and students. This dynamic rewards system encourages active participation and fosters a sense of community within the platform.

Global Accessibility: LearnNet overcomes international payment barriers by using standardized cryptocurrencies for transactions. This eliminates currency conversion issues and ensures that courses are equally priced and accessible to learners worldwide, promoting a more inclusive learning environment.

Challenges we ran into

Got stuck in developing the certificate minting feature for a long time due to dependencies error, version conflicts and limited resources but later solved it after hours of debugging. Integrating Huddle Iframe into the application was a task due to limited support of Next.js so we had to use React.js for the project.
