Problems Identified
- The development of technology has gone a long way and everything is just a touch away. But these advancements can also be regarded as encouraging a propensity to isolate oneself because there is no inherent need for social connection. Consequently, deteriorating interpersonal relationships impact mental health and heighten the tendency to feel lonely.
- Social media platforms pull individuals further away from genuine, non-virtual connections even while they make it simpler to create a community.
- Due to a shorter attention span, there are less genuine relationships and face-to-face interactions.
- Need for approaches to improve social cohesiveness and human networking in combination with technical improvements.
Idea
- A cross-platform mobile application that brings people closer to the physical environment and forms meaningful connections by organising real-world Treasure Hunts for free and winning rewards. The app uses machine learning to match users and form teams of like-minded people.
- Users can choose from a wide variety of pre-set, themed clues or even create their own.
- The answer to every clue is a location and they can be unlocked through QR code scanning or location tracking.
