The problem Health A Gram solves

No Proper channel/platform of communication between blood/plasma donors and one who are in need. We created a platform which shall be used as a platform between donors and receivers. The donors can be filtered based on their location and blood group for easy process.
We are notifying each patient whenever a person who is eligible to donate signs up on our page and hence giving the patient options in tough times.
We are taking in user location and tried a way to in corporate hyper local filtering for best matches and reducing spam.

Challenges we ran into

First of all we struggled whether to go for the generic or custom user model which caused lots of trouble but ultimately we decided to build on the generic user model which helped us simplify things and made linking of models easy.
Secondly, we faced problem during the implementation of notifying the donors and finally we decided to go ahead with SMTP as it gives privacy over mail communication and is professional
