Skill-Based Crypto Gaming Supporting Charity
The problem FTW solves
FTW turns gambling into a social entrepreneurial experiment. Players can choose to wager their ETH into the platform, and can either win money, or donate a portion of their losses to a charity of their choosing. The current gambling platforms are either luck-based, or contain closed-source code making verifying fairness impossible. FTW aims to make skill-based gaming fun, good for society, and most importantly verifiably fair utilizing blockchain technology. By integrating new technologies such as A.I agents, automation with Hedera, and modern Uniswap APIs it is possible to bring a gambling experience to the world which benefits society while being fun and fair.
Challenges I ran into
The main challenge was linking together the technology, and figuring out how to resolve bugs that came with that. One example is how to utilize a signed hash generated from playing the game in the front-end to send to the smart contract which verifies the players outcome. In the final design, a backend call is made which uses a private key to sign the data which is then verified when the match data is submitted on-chain. There were also bugs related to matching players and updating the game state for either practice or live mode which were resolved by carefully checking conditions that failed previously. There were also bugs related to withdrawing money from NFTS to re-stake which got fixed by carefully defining the parameters in the NFT, and the order of which to draw funds from.
Use of AI tools and agents
A.I agents are integral to building the protocol to scale and act as a treasury which can grow in the future. Funds which are in a vesting period, and funds which are given directly to the protocol area both used by A.I agents to do balancing, yield farming, and investing funds in various protocols on the Base Blockchain. These agents allow funds to grow which could be used to pay developers, market the service, give away money through challenges / achievements, additional large donations to charities, and overall lead to a product which can service the community better.
