CheckUp

Providing supporting in Emergencies, Always

The problem CheckUp solves

Medical Emergencies require the most immidiate responses, it can be related to medicines, calling ambulance, or getting some medical equipments. Getting such help is much time-consuming even in todays world. CheckUp reduces this time by setting up a hyper-local community of user living in a locality. Hence sending and receiving help becomes a lot easier and faster. Users can now send out alerts to all residents in the area asking for help with just tap. Users now will be able to borrow medical equipments and also cars to go to hospitals if ambulances are not available. Such services will come in handy during emergencies and prevent life loss. More over, the service of hiring medical equipments from other people can be used during emergency or for a short period of time. Nex comes the most important feature of the app, Users can alert all the doctors in the locality without having to call individually. The app will support in-app calling which will allow doctors to directly respond to the emergency.

Overall, CheckUp provides a complete package to the user to deal with medical emergencies and also help other people who are in crisis, we aim to create a hyper-local ecosystem where every resident help each other.

Challenges I ran into

During the production of the app, it was planned to use Google Maps and show the list of all hospitals in that locality. Absence of credit card to issue API credentials led to the scraping of the idea. The alternative was to create a seperate database for Users who are Doctors and filter them by cities and localities, so users can alert all doctors in their locality.

During testing, the web app has been crashing when run on Android emulators. Due to time constraint, the issue has not bee solved yet. It will be solved in the future
