Introduction
The BUIDLersberg Fund delivers a chain-agnostic governance solution for managing assets across multiple chains, focusing on decentralized Liquidity Pool Fund Governance & Execution Service.

Key Features:

  1. DAO-style Governance for LPs: Provides Liquidity Providers the power to manage pools with decentralized voting.
  2. Multi-Blockchain Execution: Allows transaction calls to various blockchains and contracts simultaneously.

Challenge:
Balancing the secrecy of internal LP decisions to thwart external interference while retaining DAO's transparent essence.

Core Components:

  • Simperby Chains: Every DAO/LP gets a dedicated governance chain. EVM-compatible and offers a balance between confidentiality and transparency.
  • Light Clients & Relayers: Suited for Uniswap v2, ERC20, and ERC721 contracts, these bridge Simperby decisions to major blockchains, like Ethereum, Polygon, and more.
  • Governance Voting: Enables collective decision-making within LPs.
  • DEX Treasury Integration: Decisions made on a Simperby chain impact primary chains through the DEX treasury.
  • Commitment Proof Relayer: Ensures every decision on Simperby is accurately mirrored on primary chains.

Workflow Highlights:

  1. A Fund needs at least two participants.
  2. One initiates the Simperby network and invites members via a code.
  3. Participants deposit tokens into pool contracts.
  4. Members can propose voting agendas.
  5. Consensus-based decisions are executed on primary chains using light clients and relayers.

Supported Chains & DEX:
Linea Testnet: Supports ERC20 Token, ERC721Mock, and soon, Uniswap.
Polygon Mumbai Testnet: Features include ERC20Mock, EVM Treasury, ERC20, ERC721Mock, and upcoming support for Uniswap.
Taiko: Houses ERC20Mock, EVM Treasury, ERC20, ERC721Mock, with Uniswap support in upcoming future.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating the creation of the BUIDLersberg Protocol was not without its challenges, particularly due to the limitations of existing blockchains that most DAOs depend upon:

  • Operational Costs: Traditional blockchains, supporting the DAO infrastructure, often demanded gas fees for every transaction, affecting economic viability.

  • Dependency and Limitations: Using existing blockchains exposed DAOs to inherent risks and restricted cross-chain interactions, limiting their adaptability and efficiency.

  • Interoperability: The need for DAOs to seamlessly connect with multiple chains was impeded by the boundaries of their primary blockchain.

  • Balancing Confidentiality with Transparency: Ensuring strategic decisions remained confidential, while still upholding DAO's transparency ethos, was a balancing act.

Enter the Simperby Engine maintained by our team, which became the bedrock of the BUIDLersberg Protocol's solution:

  • Dedicated Blockchain: Simperby provides DAOs their standalone blockchains, eliminating many limitations associated with general-purpose blockchains.

  • Cost Efficiency: By sidestepping constant gas fees through a token-less system based on permissioned nodes, DAO operations became more economically viable.

  • Robust Governance: Simperby's peer-to-peer voting and Byzantine Fault Tolerant System offer more streamlined and secure governance.

  • Interoperability: The engine's light clients ensure cross-blockchain verification and execution, paving the way for truly multi-chain DAO operations.

  • Optimized Node Operations: Unlike traditional systems, Simperby allows for sporadic node operations, boosting overall efficiency.

  • Harnessing Simperby’s capabilities, the BUIDLersberg Protocol offers a tailored solution that addresses the core challenges faced by DAOs, ensuring seamless, transparent, and economical operations across diverse blockchains.
