Why are you participating for Based SEA?

We are participating in the Based SEA to contribute to the growing Web3 and blockchain ecosystem in the Middle East and all over the world. Our team is motivated by the potential to help onboard more people in the region onto the Base, where they can explore, learn, and interact with the decentralized world of crypto. We see the Middle East as a high-potential region for blockchain adoption, and a lot of other regions with people have access to the telegram so easily, with many enthusiastic communities eager to get involved in on-chain activities.

What challenges are you focusing on?

Our primary focus is solving the challenge of low blockchain adoption and awareness within the community. Specifically, we aim to simplify the onboarding process to Base by creating an engaging, gamified experience that introduces users to Web3 technologies and Base’s capabilities.

How does your submission address this challenge?

BaseDrop Bot addresses the adoption challenge by providing users with a fun and interactive way to discover and engage with the Base. Through airdrops and tasks, such as following social accounts, completing base tasks from creating a wallet on coinbase to claiming their base names and minting specefic NFT's , and completing educational tasks, the bot helps ease the user journey into on-chain experiences. It motivates users by offering rewards and creating a sense of accomplishment as they progress through various challenges. Why Telegram Was Chosen?
Telegram boasts over 700 million active users worldwide, with a significant portion already involved in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. This makes it an ideal platform to target a large, crypto-savvy audience, effectively driving engagement with the Base ecosystem, and Telegram’s platform supports advanced bot functionalities, making it easy to onboarding users, distributing rewards, and providing educational content.

Challenges we ran into

One of the technical hurdles we faced was integrating the bot with Base’s onchain services, ensuring seamless interaction between the Telegram bot and Base smart contracts. We also encountered non-technical challenges, such as designing a simple user flow to make sure that non-technical users can easily complete tasks without confusion. To overcome these, we are searching for more base developers to make this process smoother.
