The problem Agventure solves

Problems with current food production:

• Unavailability of land
• Use of fertilizers and pesticides that cause soil erosion and toxic water bodies.
• Limited food access
• Unsustainable agricultural practices
• Costly

The Solution:

We propose using advanced technologies using the existing infrastructure to produce more food, eliminate the use of fertilizers and pesticides, contribute towards sustainable development thereby minimizing the pollution caused by current agricultural practices.
This can be achieved by;

• Using Hydroponics(a method of growing plants, usually crops, without soil, by using mineral nutrient solutions in an aqueous solvent) rooftop farming.
• Using Aeroponics(a process of growing plants in an air or mist environment without the use of soil or an aggregate medium) rooftop farming.

The Impact

• Offers a unique opportunity to landowners to rent their obtainable space to gain an additional source of income.
• Generate income and can provide local employment for the poor in these unprecedented times.
• Establishing food security by providing fresh, safe, & completely organic - Healthy produce.
• Decreasing the levels of harmful carbon dioxide and increasing oxygen thereby combating pollution and improving health.

Challenges we ran into

Working remotely and coordinating with each other and researching various aspects of Hydroponics and Aeroponics is something that doesn't align with our domain(tech) so had to surf a lot of terms to get the understanding of what it really means.
