As backend developer for the ECS Mentoring System, I designed and built the server-side architecture powering a full-stack mentoring platform adopted by 100+ students and faculty in its first semester at Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering.

I built the Node.js REST API layer connecting the React frontend to a PostgreSQL database, designing the schema for mentor-mentee relationships, session scheduling, and department-wide records. I implemented JWT-based authentication with three-tier role access control (student, mentor, admin), ensuring each user type could only access the data and actions relevant to their role. I also built the centralized booking logic that eliminated overlapping mentor sessions directly reducing scheduling conflicts that were previously handled manually across the department.
