The problem UpGain solves
** Problem Statement **
To provide a platform for students of all ages and all different fields to come together and share their intellect in a documented way like their best ppts, project ideas, “study materials”(notes) or even blogs for everyone to learn from📝.
The incentive💸 we would provide is that the students can get some 💲money in hand fand this will reduce our time that would have gone in research and review of the material we found, as we know that it is already proofed by the seniors and possibly teachers.
** Background **
The motivation for this is simple. Most times after finishing major college assignments, be they large projects, blogs or just study notes, we tend to toss them away😓. While websites like Chegg and all exist to share study notes (not projects) they do so behind a paywall.
Our aim here is to help newer students use these study materials while giving some cash incentive (generated via ad revenue) to the ones sharing these documents at no cost to the viewer.🔥
Challenges we ran into
Finding a way to fairly distribute revenue to contributors
The main challenge was to fairly distribute the revenue generated by various resources among the users, as it's hard to allocate the revenue evenly among all so we planned a solution for this.📊
Actually being able to send money to the contributors
After the fair distribution of revenue one of the major challenges was to actually send money to the users, as there are various options available for it we have to choose a secure and easy to handle option for these so we solved it accordingly.💹
Preventing Spam Users
One big challenge is to identify whether the user is uploading genuine material or he is just a spam user, as to give good resources to people we have to keep an eye on spam users.❌
