Smart Water Grid

This project demonstrates a decentralised smart water grid which is implementex using IoT and Blockchain. All the users can purchase and sell pure water on grid in exchange of tokens.

The problem Smart Water Grid solves

This project solves following issues of a water managemet /supply system of any city. First is that no one is accountable for cleansiness of water supplied except the concerned authority which hardly pays any heed to you since we lack any proof.
Also, those who harvest rainwater, may at times not require to use it immediately. So it is not attractive to many people.
All this is monitored on Blockchain.
What this project does is that it allows anyone to supply water on grid.If the quality meets required standards, they can sell it to grid and gain tokens from it which can later be used to buy water at times of need.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting Arduino to internet and was a big issue we faced. Almighty Google came to our rescue
Since all sensors are self made, their calibration was difficult as well.
Blockchain comes with it's own set of problems especially when we required to get data from firebase.
