The problem Smart Irrigation Assistant solves

The lower and mid level farmers share a common water source usually a pump and multiplex to get the water for crop irrigation . Our system provides a way where the farmers can not only manage the water scheduling remotely but also save their crops from overwatering by providing the correct amount of water based on the crop produced and the current hydration of the soil.

We have devised a method where even the farmers without a smartphone, using just a feature phone can access the system using a Web Application. The multiplexing automatically provides the water to the requested field prioritising on the first cum first serve basis.

It saves the farmers from dominance, provides equity and also helps the non educated farmers excel.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up the server and directly accessing the traffic was the first issue.
Communicating with JSON with embbeded systems was a challenge
