Natural language AI assistant — Users interact easily with the system (e.g. “Show my risk level” / “Pay Rahul 0.1 ETH”).
Custom security controls — Geo-fencing, biometric enforcement, risk scoring, and adjustable alert levels.
Unified dashboard — Everything from portfolio data to payments and CDP stats — clear, clean, and actionable.
ShieldFi includes a built-in referral program designed to drive organic growth and reward trusted user networks. Users can share unique referral links or codes to invite friends to join ShieldFi. Both the referrer and referee earn crypto-based rewards, such as fee discounts, bonus credits for transactions, or loyalty points that can be redeemed within the platform. The referral system is secured on-chain for transparency and fraud prevention, ensuring that only valid, verified referrals generate rewards.
Challenges I ran into
- Coinbase API Integration
Handling OAuth2.0 securely and managing user tokens across sessions was tricky.
API rate limits and permission scopes required careful handling, especially for portfolio and transaction data.
- CDP Wallet Smart Contracts
Writing secure, gas-efficient CDP contracts in Solidity was complex.
Ensuring accurate collateral ratios and safe liquidation logic under edge cases took deep testing and refinement.
- X402 Pay Compatibility
Limited documentation on X402 Pay SDK made integration slower.
Needed to manually test crypto payment flows and verify on-chain transactions for multiple wallet types.
- AI Agent Design
Creating a natural language interface that could safely trigger financial actions required a clear distinction between informational vs transactional queries.
Risk: Misinterpreting a user query could result in a faulty or unauthorized transaction.
- Fraud Detection Logic
Building a real-time risk scoring model using transaction patterns was challenging without live user data.
Simulating fraud scenarios for testing required a custom dataset and edge case triggers.
- Frontend UX/UI Balance
Designing a clean yet informative dashboard without overwhelming the user took multiple iterations.
Balancing CDP stats, AI alerts, and payments into one UI without clutter was a key design challenge.
- Time Constraints
Implementing advanced security features (like biometric login, device fingerprinting) had to be prioritized due to the hackathon time limit.
Some bonus features like Telegram bot alerts and chain-agnostic support were left for post-hackathon development.
