The problem MerchXMusic solves
- In today's market buying celebrity merch is expensive and quite diversed
- There is not a single intergated marketplace where these merch can be bought together
- Paying the money either through cash or online payment has become quite a cliche so to kill this cliche we have gamified our merch store
- Based on the Spotify User's Top artist, they can get MM bucks and reedem discounts on further purchase of merch
- This also gives an opportunity for up and coming artists to advertise their merch and increase their mass in the music loving community
- This platform also provides a marketplace where artists can also sell their unique NFTS
- NFTs prices depends on the popularity, demand and uniqueness of the NFT and when all these music NFT's are sold at a single platform, it will bring in more users which primarily focuses on music NFT's which ultimately helps in increasing demand of these NFT's
Challenges we ran into
MxM: Let's make fashion musical
A Gamified merch E-Commerce website built on Blockchain using Polygon and IPFS along with the ability to mint and trade NFTs of various artists across the Blockchain.
Challenges we Faced
- We were'nt much aware about the NFT marketplace and integration of it in our website using ERC721 tokens
- Not aware of the way NFT JSON meta data was stored and published
- Read various docs providing ipfs and how to use OpenZepplelin as well
- Had problems implementing authenntication for artists as well as users
- Publishing contracts and mints on the website
- Slow working Testnet server that might affect the User interaction
