A Diamond is not forever, an NFT is!
The problem ForeverYours solves
Most marriages in India are unregistered due to the super lengthy and inconvenient process. This application will reduce the time of registering your marriage to mere minutes.
Even though we are liberal as a society there is no framework for couples out of the convention to register their union. This could be a solution to so many people who only want their partner's consent to be the basis of a marriage.
Another issue it can solve is of collecting memories throughout your life in the form of <Child> NFTs with collections like All Firsts of the Baby, All Vacations, etc. over the <Parent> Marriage Certificate NFT. In our age all pictures get lost in the ocean of our gallery. To save the absolute incredible moments, this can be used as modern-day family albums.
One last thing we can achieve with good marketing is that this NFT becomes the true symbol of personal commitment instead of blood diamonds.
Challenges I ran into
Being very new to blockchain development I faced all the challenges that a noob does. I got over most of them by working with the Solana documentation and all the supporting resources about rust/react. While we found it simpler to get on-chain and mint manually, there are very few resources out there in terms of sample code for Solana based program deployment using rust/good quality tutorials teaching us how to integrate Solana backend with react frontend. Honestly, I'm still struggling with it and will keep pushing changes to the git repo. I aim to get help of the community to built this into a usable dapp for all.
