The problem BeatCorona : Solution for Quarantine Needs solves
In this critical time of coronavirus as we all know about the lockdown situation that restricts us from going out from our homes which is a very big problem for people and they may not meet their daily necessary needs, So by analysing their daily needs for groceries and medicine we have come up with the idea of Beat Corona Application. Using this application the buyers who are in quarantine and cannnot leave their homes can order the necessary items directly from their nearby shops who are registered with Beat Corona Application. Buyer has an option either he/she can choose to pickup the item from the shop directly, which the shopkeeper has to pack all the items ordered by the buyer so that buyer spends less time outside their house to minimise the risk of infection of coronavirus or the buyer can select the delivery option and in this case the shopkeeper pack all the items and deliever all the orders from the society at one time. Using Beat Corona it reduces the problem of people to meet their daily item demands and prevent them to go outside their homes to buy necessary things. Which in turns reduces their risk of getting infected by coronavirus. The shopkeeper will ensure that enough stock is available and what are the things people demanding in these days . Beat Corona will make shops to ensure and complete demands in their region.
Challenges we ran into
- Our biggest hurdle is to make authentication possible through web . To overcome this we analzed firebase to create register and login the user.
- We need to find the Nearby shops according to the Buyer location , location cannot be found easily . We need to study the Location Services and the persmissions . To overcome this we used the Geolocation API , and found the correct location of a person , then according to the address parameters we linked the shops with the Buyers in specific areas.
- To solve the in-app browser features we used flutter Web View system that allowed us to read the articles without leaving the application.
- We want to implement the push notification reminder alerts for COVID-19 precautions. But because different phones have different permissions to handle those. So we used Firebale Cloud Messaging Service.
