The problem ZotSwap solves
ZotSwap is a decentralized rental marketplace that enables borrowers and lenders to transact directly without intermediaries. Built on the Base blockchain, it leverages smart contracts to ensure secure, automated agreements. Additionally, AI is integrated to assess the environmental impact of renting versus purchasing, providing valuable insights into the sustainability benefits of each transaction. Disclosure: our team has been working on this app since the Winter 25’ quarter, and it has been submitted to the 2025 Eigen game Eth Denver Hackathon, where it won.
Challenges we ran into
The primary challenge was managing the sheer volume of work required to build a robust web application. Integrating the backend database with the frontend UI demanded meticulous coordination. Additionally, implementing blockchain operations presented engaging yet complex problems that made the development process both challenging and rewarding.
