ZKross

Leveraging Zero-Knowledge Proofs to expand the horizons in terms of the use-cases of Cross-Chain Transactions.

The problem ZKross solves

The next step in making the web decentralized is looking for a way to connect and facilitate the
transfer of data, which is essentially assets, across multiple chains.
A zero-knowledge proof is a way of proving the validity of a statement without revealing the information itself. The ‘prover’ is the party trying to establish a claim, while the ‘verifier’ is responsible for validating the claim.
Through the use of the combination of above-mentioned technologies, things like patent licensing or house renting agreements through blockchain, or even across chains can be made possible in the near future.

Challenges we ran into

Following were the challenges we faced:

  1. The underlying blockchain may not be able to handle the pressure as the cross-chain gas fees could be expensive
  2. The integration of Router Protocol with the ZKPs and the testnets proved to be quite tricky, and is yet to be perfected.
