ZK Guards
Voting app that keeps users anonymous. Users are community members that vote on treasury spending, ie decisions on how money is spend.
The problem ZK Guards solves
Members can choose an unpopular choice, without being attacked. Let's say you are against building a parking lot, but want a garden in the community. Now you can make that choice, even if the majority wants a parking lot.
Challenges we ran into
We used Zero Knowledge proofs to cast the vote based on Noir. ZK is not mature yet and it's extremely difficult to generate custom proofs. Especially taking security into consideration. ZK proofs are also compute intensive.
