The problem ZENTRO solves

In today's digital India, the explosion of UPI and tap-to-pay has made spending effortless but has also made it nearly impossible for young people to track where their money is actually going. This invisibility, combined with a national financial literacy gap where nearly three out of four adults lack basic financial knowledge, creates a cycle of stress and missed savings opportunities. Zentro directly solves this problem by using AI to bring total clarity to this invisible spending and providing simple, on-demand guidance, ultimately transforming financial anxiety into confidence and control. Zentro’s AR feature can scan bills and automatically extract detailed expense information such as the merchant name, date, and other relevant data. This smart scanning capability simplifies expense tracking by reducing manual entry, providing accurate data capture directly from physical bills, and enhancing convenience for users managing their finances.

Challenges we ran into

Following are the challenges we faced while making the frontend prototype:-

  1. Integration of dynamic user interfaces that handle complex financial data such as real-time expense tracking and budget updates without lag or glitches.
  2. Implementing responsive design that provides a smooth experience across varied devices and screen sizes, especially for mobile fintech apps like Zentro.
  3. Balancing feature-richness with maintaining a clean, intuitive UI to avoid overwhelming users.

When scaling a web app like Zentro, several challenges may arise in the future. These include handling increasing user loads without performance drops, which can cause slower response times, delays, or app crashes that harm user experience and business reputation. Database inefficiency is a major issue as growing data volume demands optimized queries, replication, or sharding to maintain fast access. Server overloads can occur due to rising requests per minute, requiring vertical or horizontal scaling and efficient load balancing.

Unscalable architecture, such as monolithic or tightly coupled components, can hinder growth and require transitioning to modular or microservices design for better scalability. Further in future we may need to make our own AI models instead of external API to reduce dependency of our web app.
