ZBay

a Zero-Knowledge auction house

The problem ZBay solves

Typical online auctions have poor integrity and don't ensure user privacy. A zero-knowledge "blind" auction means that users never reveal their bid prices and that auction houses can't call a fake bidder the winner.

Challenges I ran into

I dealt with a lot of issues when trying to use Aztec Noir's example repositories and integrating with their sdk. To overcome this, I ended up running proving/verification on an express backend by just running nargo commands. Another sufficient obstacle was creating a reliable deployment script for the contracts. With hardhat though, a lot of the fog was cleared up.
