Despite daily encounters with broken streetlights, open manholes, and garbage piles, most people donβt report civic issues β because traditional systems are slow, centralized, and unrewarding. Thereβs no real incentive to care, no trust that action will be taken, and no transparency once a problem is flagged.
On the other side, contractors have limited visibility into micro civic tasks, face delayed payments, and have no way to build decentralized reputation for their work.
While blockchain platforms offer transparency, high gas fees and generic infrastructure make them unsuitable for frequent, small-scale local interactions β such as photo uploads, task validations, or micro-payments.
Here comes Zavira β not just a civic reporting tool, but a decentralized coordination platform, powered by its own Layer 2 app chain.
Zavira transforms passive observers into active community builders. We've created an ecosystem where:
Snap a photo of the issue β AI verifies authenticity β Earn ZVR tokens
Browse local opportunities β Stake tokens to claim work β Complete & submit proof β Get rewarded
Monitor progress in real-time β Validate completions β Maintain trust through transparent, blockchain-verified updates
π± Frictionless Civic Action
Citizens can report issues with a photo and earn ZVR tokens with near-zero transaction costs, thanks to our Layer 2 architecture.
π οΈ Seamless Task Claiming
Contractors can stake, execute, and get paid for verified micro-tasks β without the burden of expensive L1 fees.
π Trustless Validation
DAO members validate reports and completions through fast, low-cost consensus, enabling scalable and trustworthy governance.
π Domain-Specific Chain Design
By building a dedicated app chain for civic infrastructure β an often overlooked but crucial sector β Zavira delivers tailored scalability, cost-efficiency, and mission-driven architecture.
Zavira turns everyday civic friction into decentralized opportunity.
With aligned incentives, every report becomes a chance to act, every fix a way to earn, and every validation a stamp of trust β all while making cities cleaner, safer, and more responsive.
π Civic Authentication Integration
We implemented Civic for decentralized identity verification to ensure each report is submitted by a real, unique user. Despite initial integration hurdles, our team was quick, responsive, and adaptive throughout the process.
βοΈ First-Time Layer 2 Implementation
This hackathon marked our first time building a Layer 2 app chain β designed specifically to handle high-frequency civic interactions like image uploads, micro-task validations, and token-based coordination. It enabled low-cost, high-throughput scalability for Zaviraβs mission.
π§ Gemini Integration for AI Image Validation
We used Gemini to power our AI-based image verification, helping to detect and reject spam or irrelevant uploads before they hit the blockchain β ensuring cleaner, more actionable civic data.
