The problem ZAP solves

  • Rupiah-Crypto Disconnect: No seamless way for local businesses to price in Rupiah
    but accept crypto payments, forcing them to choose
    between stability and global reach

  • Crypto Adoption: Despite 18.25 million Indonesian crypto users (Bappebti, 2023) and Indonesia ranking 7th globally in crypto adoption, local merchants can't capture this market

  • Tourism Revenue Gap: Bali businesses lose potential revenue from international crypto tourists after government banned crypto as payment method (Cryptoforinnovation.org, 2023)

  • Technical Knowledge Deficit: 89% of traditional market SMEs lack technical expertise to implement digital payment solutions (MDPI Sustainability Journal, 2023)

Challenges we ran into

  • We couldn't call writeContract function in frontend because we used xellar and wagmi provider which caused it to conflict. Removing wagmi provider and refactoring our app solved the issue.
  • Our initial plan was to create a mobile app with React Native, unfortunately at the moment Xellar can't be used with React Native.
