YieldIntel

Turn DeFi yield into open-source intelligence.

The problem YieldIntel solves

The Problem it Solves

DeFi became extremely good at generating yield — but most of it is just looping inside DeFi itself. Value circulates financially, but very little of that yield actually funds public goods or real infrastructure that Web3 genuinely needs in the next 10 years.

At the same time, crypto-native decentralized AI compute networks like Akash (decentralized GPU marketplace) and Bittensor (decentralized collaborative AI model training) are rapidly growing but consistently underfunded because they do not have the VC-backed hyper centralized model that Big Tech clouds have. Training models or even running inference on decentralized networks is significantly cheaper (Akash reports 50-90% discount vs AWS/NVIDIA cloud rentals), but these networks still need continuous capital flow to bootstrap capacity, increase reliability, expand subnets and keep open source AI development possible.

DeFi can solve this funding gap.

There is billions of dollars of APY capacity sitting idle in crypto ecosystem every year. Instead of relying on grants, retrofunding, waiting for philanthropy, or hoping someone donates, YieldIntel builds an automated mechanism where yield generated by users can become the financial engine for permissionless AI infra — continuously, programmatically, and transparent.

What people can use this for

YieldIntel allows any DeFi user to participate in building the future of open decentralized AI without needing to sacrifice their principal capital.

Users simply deposit assets into an Octant-powered vault. Those vaults generate yield. Yield automatically be routed into decentralized AI compute networks like Akash or Bittensor.

So the principal remains untouched inside DeFi generating APY — but the yield produced on top becomes the fuel that subsidizes decentralized GPU compute or supports Bittensor subnet training. Over time as more users join, this increases compute liquidity, increases model training throughput, and reduces cost for the entire DeAI ecosystem.

This removes the loop of value staying inside purely financial speculation — and instead transforms yield into meaningful productive real infra that Web3 actually depends on.

It unlocks a path where crypto is not just trading, not just farming, not circular yield — but is able to directly fund sovereign decentralized intelligence infrastructure.

Why this matters

If crypto does not step in fast — AI infra will centralize harder than cloud did. And we’ll repeat the same mistake again but this time 50x worse because AI affects culture, cognition, truth and society directly.

Bittensor is proving community-driven intelligence works.
Akash is proving openly priced decentralized GPU markets are possible.

But both need continuous capital.
YieldIntel makes that capital flow automatic, sustainable and onchain-verifiable — powered by DeFi itself.

This is not crypto subsidizing Web2.
This is crypto funding crypto-native AI.

Technical Flow

ERC4626 vault accumulates yield → router contract

every 7 day epoch → router redeems yield portion into stable assets

swaps yield into AKT / TAO

either: bids GPU compute on Akash or stakes / allocates into Bittensor subnets

impact is tracked and represented with soulbound proof-of-compute NFTs

future vaults can even re-route returns / model royalties back to depositors

Everything stays transparent, programmatic, permissionless.

Future Plans

  • subnet category based allocation gauges (community votes % towards inference subnets, dataset subnets, pretraining subnets etc)

  • IBC routing + Cosmos integration for native Akash compute flows

  • automated feedback loop where compute usage revenue returns as yield boost to depositors

  • AI agent executor vaults where autonomous agents start performing training, inference and model marketplace tasks directly funded by vault yield

Challenges I ran into

A major hurdle was designing donation routing that is flexible across Akash / Bittensor without breaking gas efficiency on mainnet — solved by keeping routing modular and externalizing the compute execution logic off-chain via automation calls.
