The problem XRP-Commerce solves

XRP-Commerce emerges as a game-changing solution for the challenges posed by traditional online shopping, presenting a comprehensive approach to revolutionize the e-commerce landscape. This project embodies a decentralized, secure, and efficient system that empowers users to engage directly in buying and selling products using XRP, a digital currency. By addressing the shortcomings of conventional methods, XRP-Commerce efficiently solves several critical problems:

1. Disintermediation: Traditional online shopping often involves intermediaries like payment processors and marketplaces, which lead to increased fees and transaction delays. XRP-Commerce eliminates the need for these intermediaries, enabling direct peer-to-peer transactions and substantially reducing costs and waiting times.

2. Slow and Costly Payments: Integration of XRP cryptocurrency accelerates transaction processing compared to legacy payment methods like credit cards or bank transfers. This rapid settlement ensures that both buyers and sellers receive funds promptly, mitigating the typical delays associated with payment processing.

Challenges I ran into

Learning to work with a new technology like XRPL initially posed a challenge for me. However, I found the XRPL documentation to be quite accessible and helpful in my learning process. On the other hand, I encountered some confusion while trying to manage different types of data such as images and messages within Supabase. Despite this challenge, I was able to overcome it by carefully studying the provided code samples. To further enhance my understanding, I also sought guidance from various online tutorials that offered insights into designing an effective database schema for messaging purposes.
