Xchange

Xchange, a decentralized dataset exchange platform, enables the secure, transparent, and efficient uploading, and selling of datasets

The problem Xchange solves

In the traditional web2 ecosystem, dataset exchanges are often impose lengthy contracts and require transactions to be handled by third parties, leading to high fees and human overhead. This centralized approach complicates verifying data integrity and limits users' visibility into data usage. On top of that, requires lengthy legal processes, with hefty payments.
Xchange addresses these issues with a decentralized platform that leverages the Fastest Modular AI Chain and 0G's scalable data infrastructure. By eliminating intermediaries, Xchange reduces fees and enhances transparency through blockchain-recorded transactions. Users can flag misleading datasets, ensuring data integrity, and a mechanism to ensure dataset owners are paid only after some non-flagged purchases, protecting against fraud.

Challenges I ran into

We did certainly run into some issues, a few of them:

  • The primary challenge lies in effectively integrating with 0G's Storage SDK to enable users to upload and download files securely and efficiently, like
  • Another significant challenge is maintaining an on-chain record of file uploads to enable later querying and verification. This requires designing and deploying smart contracts on the blockchain, capable of storing relevant metadata and linking it to the files stored on 0G's storage system
