The problem World Association solves
The World Association addresses the lack of a truly democratic global governance system. Nation-states and international organizations fail to represent the diverse voices of the global population and cannot effectively address pressing global challenges. The World Association offers:
- Global democracy: A transparent, verifiably democratic system where anyone can participate.
- Enhanced security: Utilizes advanced cryptography to ensure security and anonymity.
- Basic income: Distribution of a global basic income using our digital currency.
- Collaborative solutions: Solutions to global issues like AI safety, climate change, and pandemics created by a global body with democratic legitimacy.
Challenges I ran into
During the development of the World Association, I faced several challenges:
- Ensuring the platform is anonymous yet verifiably democratic: Verifying the uniqueness of each participant without compromising anonymity required innovative approaches. I overcame this by using zkMe's MeID, a leading proof of personhood solution.
- Scalability issues: Ensuring the platform could handle a large number of users and transactions. I use the thirdweb Engine and leverage the scalability of Base.
