Our platform aims at helping women at work, particularly women who belong to the lesser educated bracket of the society, but are playing the role of bread-winners of their family. Basically it's women workers at NGOs & various other organizations, such as our college, e.g. mess workers, laundary workers, sweepers, etc. As we've seen time & again, these woman have access to smartphone devices, yet are unable to operate multiple applications smoothly & efficiently. We have created one user-friendly application in Hinglish & integrated multiple applications in one (e.g. Razorpay & Whatsapp). Woklite platform comprises of 2 android applications - Worklite for Users & Worklite for Admins. Worklite for Users is meant to be used by female workers and includes functionalities like - easy checkin, checkout; easy connectivity among employees; smooth swapping of workshifts; task schedule; payment reception; recording overtime & choosing employee of the month based on it; hiring & complaint registration. The key features are : Menstrual Cycle tracker & paid leave provision during cycle; Mental Health Survey & Traking, and counselling sessions by professionals, based on the results of the survey. The Worklite for Admin application provides features for keeping records, addressing complaints of employees, reviewing applications of job-seekers, and salary transfer feature. Other than the 2 mobile applications, Worklite also has a website under it's umbrella. The website would be accesible by general public, including job-seekers, and keeps track of women-friendliness of our partner organizations, based on the feedback provided by women workers in these organizations. The feedback will be taken through the app for users in the form of upvotes & downvotes, and posted on the website anonymously, just like Glassdoor. This will help organizations heighten their reputation in the market if they are publically showcased as having women-friendly work environments.
Implementing Mental Health Tracking & Survey, because we want the questionnare to be designed by professionals. Implementing Menstrual Tracker had also been challenging but we resolved the problem by embedding a calendar in the app.
