Our project is a discussion forum specifically curated for women to have a platform where they can gain second-hand experiences from fellow woman visitors. Unlike a general view, it allows them to write their own personal encounters in places that don't have any other review forums. Since it is for women it happens to have a very different perspective that is meant for and by women. It might include factors like being stared at or treated inappropriately, which are mostly neglected in mass media sites and forums. It is like a personal guide for them if they travel solo or are unfamiliar with a location. Our website includes issues like safety concerns, cultural differences, and navigating unfamiliar social situations. One of the major problems faced nowadays is the question of HOW SAFE AN AREA IS DURING THE NIGHT. This is categorized on our website so that it is easier to preplan and prepare yourself. We want to build a community that uplifts and looks out for each other while empowering and inspiring one another to pursue their travel goals and dreams.
We had an idea to build a no-code website. For that, we tried several platforms like WordPress, web flow, and bubble. Neither of them worked out for us and we had already spent a lot of time on them. Even if the websites worked they kept asking for premium versions for specific features that left us with very little availability of features. It took some time to grasp the working of a website and when we did, we had to drop it because of the difficulties until we found Wix. It was difficult for multiple members to work together and edit at the same time.
