The problem Winter Of Code 5.0 solves

  1. Orycon (Event Management System)

Orycon is a centralized hub designed to eliminate the "spreadsheet chaos" often found in college societies. Society admins and student leads can use it to manage the entire lifecycle of an event from brainstorming in the Idea Box and recruiting teams via the Hiring Portal, to real time execution with QR based automated attendance. It makes existing tasks significantly safer and more efficient by unifying scattered workflows (like WhatsApp coordination or manual Excel tracking) into a single, role-based dashboard. This ensures that institutional knowledge is preserved for future batches through automated Content Documentation, while the Social Media Scheduler ensures consistent community engagement without the risk of manual posting errors.

  1. Keploy Blog Website

The Keploy Blog serves as a vital educational resource for developers navigating the world of AI powered test automation. People use it to access deep-dive technical tutorials, case studies, and product updates. This project makes the existing platform "faster and friendlier" by optimizing Core Web Vitals and refining the UI/UX for high-performance reading. By migrating to a more robust TypeScript architecture and improving the search/navigation logic, we make information discovery nearly instantaneous. For contributors, it streamlines the writing process through clearer documentation and a lightweight asset pipeline, ensuring that the blog remains a high speed, reliable source of truth that reflects Keploy’s own standard of technical excellence.

  1. TranscribeIt

TranscribeIt is a powerful accessibility tool that converts video content and live streams into interactive, searchable, and diarized transcripts. It is primarily used by the hard of hearing community, researchers, and students who need to navigate long form video content efficiently. It makes existing tasks easier by providing word level timestamps and speaker identification, allowing users to jump directly to specific parts of a video rather than scrubbing through hours of footage. By integrating robust ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) pipelines and offering exports in Markdown, PDF, and JSON, it turns passive video watching into an active data retrieval process, ensuring that digital content is inclusive, WCAG compliant, and accessible to everyone.
