We are proposing a smart city concept using different techniques such as the Internet of Things, web development, etc. We are reducing the usage of paper and automating things using technology.
The problem White Hats solves
The main purpose of this project is to help the people and the environment. We are saving tons of electricity using a smart street light system that only turns on when the vehicle/object is around. It can save a lot of electricity being used leisurely. We have added several modules that'll help people in their daily life, such as an emergency safety button that helps prevent crimes during the night. We have also added a sound sensor which detects the noise level and reports it to the police. Another module helps emergency vehicles in traffic by intriguing the traffic lights.
We have created a portal for the municipal corporation that helps citizens with their precious time. They can take an appointment to govt. an employee using the portal. It can generate the certificate of any event generated by the Municipal corporation. all the street lights data can be shown on the portal by main admin. This portal helps people by saving their time efficiently by using technology.
Challenges we ran into
There are many hurdles we went through this hackathon, but eventually, we got out in the most situation. there were few bugs that took our sleep such as, we got error while connecting the nodemcu to the cloud and localhost. We also blew our ultra-sonic sensors that was used to detect the speed of the vehicle. Apart from that, on the software side, we faced few problems regarding the PHP.
