What I Build This Month- First Paragraph Post
I provided an overview of five exciting projects that I've been building this month and shared a personal introduction in my first post on Pagragraph. It includes videos, events, tools, mints, & more!
The problem What I Build This Month- First Paragraph Post solves
This blog post introduces the projects that I built onchain during the past month and each project solves a different but overlapping set of problems. By showcasing how they work together, this article aims to help solve the following problems:
- Lack of collaboration and community building: Through hosting events, sharing work, and awarding public goods, these projects foster a sense of community and encourage builders to collaborate and network.
- Inefficient governance processes: By introducing innovative consensus processes and decision-making methods, these projects aim to streamline governance and make it more accessible and effective.
- Limited access to development tools: By providing open-source software and advancing the development of onchain social games, these projects make it easier for anyone to participate and build what they love in the onchain economy.
- Everyone isn’t onchain yet: By showcasing the creativity and innovation happening on Base, these projects highlight the potential of onchain development and inspire others to join the community.
The article brings these projects together by sharing their progress, successes, and future plans. Anyone can read this post to gain insight into the interconnected nature of these projects and their potential to solve a range of problems within the onchain ecosystem. The projects provide a space for builders to share their work, form connections, and work together to achieve a global economy that increases innovation, creativity, and freedom.
Challenges I ran into
It was difficult to juggle multiple projects at once and so many tasks that required different skills. As a founder who leads two start up communities and is innovating in a new design space with so much to build, there are many unexpected challenges that arise every day.
One hurdle in particular that I ran into while building this project was learning the right onchain tools to use as a creator. Most of my experience onchain was in an alternative ecosystem prior to last year and I've been so busy building that I didn't have much time to explore the tools that are available for onchain creators. I got over this issue by studying documentation, exploring Farcaster channels, and listening to podcasts about various onchain tools for creators. It took some time to research it, but now I have a good understanding of the unique use cases of many onchain creator tools like Zora, Manifold, Paragraph, Mirror, and Hypersub.
Another challenge is communicating the benefits of very novel products in a market where most people don't know me well yet. I've spent a lot of time honing our products and messaging, but it can be difficult to be heard when you don't have an active badge on Farcaster or a huge following. I'm resolving this by diligently providing value for the people in my communities, carefully planning our growth strategy, and continually working to build more helpful products for all.
