The problem WASTE-FREE-CHEF solves

Our app aims to tackle the issue of food waste by connecting people with surplus food from local restaurants and supermarkets. It is designed as a food bank type platform for various sources and people in need of food, including but not limited to local restaurants, supermarkets, and individuals facing food insecurity.

The app is divided into three modules: Admin, Providers (such as restaurant owners and supermarket managers), and Customers. The Admin module is responsible for verifying providers with ID proof and overseeing all aspects of the website related to stores and customers, including the ability to modify food stock if needed.

The Provider module includes a registration and login system for providers. They can add food items, manage stock levels, update provider information, and include details about food expiry dates and age. Additionally, providers can set the location for the available food.

The Customer module also features a registration and login system for customers. They can browse the available food stock provided by the providers, select a food bank location, and view the food available there. Customers can also see the availability of each food item and its details, such as nutritional information and allergen warnings.
