The problem WElfare solves

Our application solves the problem of having a secure as well as a transparent donation app which aligns with the UN global Sustainable Development Goals. Our app is designed to bridge the gap between the needy and the helper by providing contactless pickup from the user's doorstep during the uncertain pandemic.
We built this app with a vision to help those in need, and reach out to them from any part of the world, right from your home. To eliminate the stigma of monetary donations, we promote donations in the form of food, clothes, books, advertisements, and money as well, via our app

Challenges we ran into

1.Our major challenge was to verify the genuineness and quality of non-monetary contributions. We overcame this problem by integrating image verification of the non-monetary donations that are submitted by the users before their donations are collected. Once they are verified by the NGO, the donations are collected via the doorstep pickup service where the donations are again cross-checked for their usability.
2.Another challenge while building WElfare was to create the use case for tracking the user donations. For this, we integrated several checkpoints during the whole donation process which are frequently updated on the donation summary screen of the user. After the successful delivery of the donations to the needy, images and videos are uploaded in the same summary dashboard for the user’s convenience. Collaborating with authorized and genuine volunteers and NGOs is one of the crucial yet difficult tasks for our team as well.
