Challenges I ran into
Performance Optimization: Initially, WeCoders faced slow loading times due to inefficient data handling. I resolved this by implementing caching strategies and optimizing queries to reduce server load and improve performance.
Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensuring that the platform worked consistently across different browsers was challenging. I tackled this by using browser testing tools and fixing issues related to CSS and JavaScript inconsistencies.
Real-Time Collaboration: Integrating real-time features for coding challenges required complex synchronization. I addressed this by leveraging WebSockets and optimizing backend processes to ensure smooth and responsive interactions.
Scalability Issues: As user numbers grew, the platform experienced scalability issues. I overcame this by adopting a more scalable database solution and load balancing techniques to handle increased traffic.
User Authentication Security: Ensuring secure user authentication was critical. I implemented robust security measures such as hashing passwords and using secure token-based authentication to protect user data.
