The problem Web3-Charity-Hub solves

Our initiative, "Web3-Charity-Hub ", is the solution to address the severe turmoil caused by floods and landslides in Himachal Pradesh. We have created a crowdfunding and awareness website that serves as a platform for people to donate essential supplies and extend a helping hand to those in need. To ensure transparency and legitimacy, we have implemented a verification portal, overseen by administrators, to validate donation requests.

By joining the movement, you can make a significant impact on the lives of thousands of displaced and stranded individuals. Through "Web3-Charity-Hub ," we aim to provide urgent relief supplies to those affected, helping them rebuild their homes, dreams, and hope.

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges that we faced while developing the project. Getting familiarised with new build tools, web3, smart contract and blockchain concepts were part of the learning journey. We had first experimented with using MetaMask API for storing transaction details on the Ethereum mainnet after developing and testing our required smart contracts on Remix IDE. We faced many issues with its implementation and then planned the switch to a local Ethereum network using HardHat. It came with its own challenges but after tackling them all, we integrated it with out Vite/React frontend and finished development.
