The problem web3 Warri at Base OnChain Summer 2024 solves

Problem Definition: Onboarding more technical people - developers and builders into the web3 space is a major problem that we are solving.

The web3 Warri is a community of (and for) blockchain developers, smart contract developers, builders, technical writers, open-source contributors, and tech enthusiasts interested in building the next generation of the internet through collaborative learning, meetups, workshops, hackathons, and conferences.

We are solving this problem of onboarding more developers onchain through the following modus operandi:

1. Meetups
2. Workshops
3. Hackathons
4. Conferences

Developer communities around the world have been largely instrumental in the success we have recorded in the broader tech industry. And so to achieve the goal of onboarding more developers with web2 background into web3, we are primarily focused on using community building to solve this problem.

We hold on to the strong believe that when developers come together to learn, collaborate and build, amazing things can happen.

Challenges I ran into

As the founder of web3 Warri community, here are some of the challenges I have ran into:

1. Access to qualitative web3 educational learning resources
2. The cost of bringing into seasoned web3 developers to facilitate workshops and meetups
3. A dedicated co-working space / hackerhouse to enable community members learn and build everyday.
