The problem We have named our project as ''DL Pay" solves
Managing multiple booths is a very complicated task.There is a lot of manual operation and long traffic on toll booths.We here propose a smart card based toll booth system that is monitored over IOT.The internet server will maintain all the data of user accounts and also their balance.All vehicle owners would possess RFID based card on their driving license.
Our system at toll booths will monitor the cards scanned when a car arrives at the toll booth.A wide range of other benefits will be there along with the automatic toll .It will prove to be useful in case of the identification of the driver of the abandoned vehicle in case of road accidents.It will also tackle the problem of theft detection.There will be no need of checking of driving license of drivers again and again.
Challenges I ran into
There were certain issues which we faced during inintial stages of taking real time data from the hardware part to the android application.
We faced a lot of brainstorming during thinking about those additional features which have the potential to make our project unique and distinctive from the existing FasTag.
